JUMP TO RECIPE

Creamy eggnog and sweet Italian Amaretto make for a delicious blend of festive flavors! Learn to make this simple 2 ingredient cocktail, Italian Amaretto Eggnog.

One of my favorite things about the holidays is spiced eggnog. It's just a taste that you don't get the rest of the year, and it's distinctively "Christmas" to me.

What ingredients are needed to prepare Italian Amaretto Eggnog?

  • 1.5 oz Amaretto
  • 4 - 6 oz Good Eggnog (I like Southern Comfort for this!)
  • Garnishes: Store Bought or Homemade Whipped Cream, Sanding or Granulated Sugar, Ground Cinnamon, a Cinnamon Stick

How to Prepare an Italian Amaretto Eggnog:

  1. Combine sugar and ground cinnamon on a small plate.
  2. Moisten the rim of a short glass and press it into the sugar and cinnamon to coat the rim of the glass.
  3. Fill the glass ⅔ of the way full of ice.
  4. Pour over egg nog.
  5. Pour Amaretto liquor into the eggnog, stir with cinnamon stick.
  6. Garnish with homemade whipped cream and a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
