Chesapeake Macaroni Salad

- 3 cups Cooked Elbow Macaroni
- 1 1/2 cups Sweet Corn charred
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 tsp Dried Basil
- 2 tsp Kosher Salt
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper to taste
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes halved
- 6-10 Fresh Basil Leaves plus more for garnishing
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan, add the corn and cook for 5-10 minutes over medium heat.
Add corn to cooked macaroni, allow to cool slightly.
In a separate bowl combine mayonnaise, @oldbay_seasoning , dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir prepared dressing into macaroni and corn mixture, add halved tomatoes.
Chiffonade most of the fresh basil, and stir into the salad.
Place the salad in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to develop for 30 minutes.
Top with additional fresh basil and serve.
