I am addicted to the cheese danish at Starbucks. It’s a whole thing. And being from the South, cream cheese and pepper jelly staple around the holidays. So combining the two was so fun for me! I hope you enjoy this fun, holiday recipe!

How to Prepare Cream Cheese and Pepper Jelly Danish:

  2. Combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt and set aside. (Place into
a piping bag for easy application.)
  3. Gently roll puff pastry sheets out and slice into 6 rectangles. Score the pastry sheet
sections with your knife to create a rectangular indention in the center of each piece.
(Don’t cut through the pastry.) Prick each indention with a fork a few times gently.
  4. Spread or pipe the cream cheese mixture into each indention.
  5. Drop a tablespoon of pepper jelly on top of the cheese on each rectangle.
  6. Whisk the egg, add a drop of plain water, and gently brush the egg wash on the edges
    of each rectangle.
  7. Bake in 400° preheated oven for 10 minutes. Rotate pan, and bake for 5 more minutes.
  8. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme for serving.

Storage:

These danishes can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 -3 days.

Reheating:

A toaster oven is the best method for reheating. Reheat for 20 – 30 seconds.

You could also use an air fryer, reheat at 370° for 1 – 2 minutes.

The danishes may also be reheated in the microwave for 20 – 30 seconds, or until heated through.
