Delicious pork is not just bacon, okay?! You can get just as delicious a bite of pork from a tenderloin, a chop, or shredded pork.
One of my favorite ways to make pork tenderloin is actually in the oven! A lot of people worry about baking pork tenderloin in case they may dry it out, but it’s actually pretty simple! Low and slow, and flavored with 3 different types of citrus! Yes! Just trust me!
You’ll need the following for this recipe:
- 2 Pack of Pork Tenderloin (2 1.5 lb tenderloins sold in 1 pack)
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1 ½ Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Chili Powder
- 1 Tsp Kosher Salt
- ½ Tsp Ground Black Pepper
- ½ Tsp Cumin
- ½ Tsp Dried Parsley
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Lime
- 1 Orange
Make it!
- Preheat the oven to 350° and line a large baking sheet with tin foil for easy clean up.
- In a small bowl combine the rub seasonings: cumin, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Pat each of the pork tenderloins dry and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the rub on each of the pork tenderloins and spread to coat them on all sides.
- Place the pork on the lined baking sheet.
- Cut the lemon and lime each in half and squeeze 1 lemon half and 1 lime half over each tenderloin.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- When the thickest part of the tenderloin reaches 145° F internal temperature, remove the pork from the oven and place each tenderloin on a cutting board.
- Cut the orange in half, squeeze each half of the orange over each tenderloin.
- Let the tenderloin rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing it into 1 inch slices.
