You guys, it’s here! The very first A Toasted Crumb Entertaining Guide!

This is something I’ve wanted to do for the blog for such a long time! There are so many moving parts to creating an entertaining guide, and I’m so excited that I was finally able to get my life together to share this first one with you!

I look forward to creating even more entertaining guides in the future as we head into the best part of the year!

A Toasted Crumb Entertaining Guides are meant to provide a standard outline or template for a party or event.

In these guides you can look forward to:

  • Design inspiration for your event!
  • Recommended products for tableware, barware, and flatware!
  • A full Party Day Prep Schedule!
  • A full Menu of Recipes to match your party theme!
  • AND a Shopping List for the entire meal plan!

Let’s kick it off!

For this round, we’re going to Hawaii!

A tropical sunset theme seemed perfect for the end of summer!

Maybe you’re considering a small dinner party with some friends in your backyard, perhaps a big birthday party for a relative?

Everyone loves a luau! Throw on a lei, grab a drink, and take your shoes off! This is going to be fun!

Skip ahead to:

If you’re looking for design inspo, consider some of these color palettes for your party décor!

The numbers you see at the bottom of each square are called the HEX color codes. You can reference these codes when you are ordering custom stationary, linens, or any other custom materials. These color codes are universal.

Now that you’ve picked a color scheme, you’ll need some tableware! Here are a couple of fun suggestions.

Let’s start thinking about drinks and apps!

Any luau needs to start out with something smooth and sweet! For cocktail hour I recommend serving your guests an Island Margarita and allowing them to graze on Mango Salsa and Blue Corn Tortilla Chips, the best kind!

We’re starting to get hungry! What’s for dinner?

For dinner, serve Hawaiian Pulled Pork! This dish is so delicious and can be done in your crockpot while you prep for the party! Score!

Serve this pork as a standalone main dish with the other sides, or scoop it into some Sweet Hawaiian Tortillas for a fun fusion dish!

For sides, you’ll want some light dishes that pair well with all of these tropical flavors! I suggest..

Grilled Pineapple Slaw

This slaw is the perfect pairing to go with your Hawaiian Pulled Pork! I served this “fusion style” in a Sweet Hawaiian flour tortilla that we found at the grocery store! You can just as easily serve this without the tortilla. The grilled pineapples in this slaw are so fun!

5 Ingredient Coconut Rice

The perfect base for your island spread!

Side Note:

Y’all. I can’t put this rice down. My husband isn’t big on coconut, so obviously I had a ton left after recipe testing. That was perfectly fine! I found about a hundred other uses for this rice, in addition to eating it just plain jane for lunch or dinner!

(I wish 23 year old me, with a whole $5.00 for groceries, had this recipe. Ohhh the flashbacks. Best budget meal there is!)
