Making chocolate fudge in the microwave gets a bad wrap. If you know what you're doing, and you don't rush it, it's easy! Let's do it!
Watch the video!
Ingredients:
- Chocolate: Semi-sweet bars of chocolate, I used Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet. (You'll need about 12 oz.)
- Cadbury Creme Eggs: The stars of the show! You want the chocolate Cadbury Creme Eggs, not the chocolate coated eggs. This is important! About 6 - 8 eggs will do.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: Not evaporated milk! 1 can, 14oz.
- Sprinkles! I used some fun pastel, spring inspired sprinkles to make them fit the Easter theme. How cute are these Easter sprinkles from Amazon??

Steps to Prepare:
STEP 1: Chop and heat the semi-sweet chocolate.
Chop the chocolate into bite sized pieces and heat it for no more than 30 seconds in the microwave. (You don't want the chocolate to seize!) Stir it with a metal whisk, then heat it again in 10 second intervals until it is mostly melted.
STEP 2: Add the Cadbury Creme.
Unwrap each of the Cadbury eggs and chop them up as best you can. Drop them into the warm chocolate and heat the entire bowl for no more than 20 seconds. Stir the cream into the chocolate until it is well combined.
STEP 3: Add the condensed milk.
Pour in the entire can of sweetened condensed milk and stir it into the chocolate. Mix well.
STEP 4: Press into a pan.
Line an 8x8 metal or glass plan with parchment or wax paper and spread the chocolate mixture down into the pan.
STEP 5: Decorate!
Add sprinkles and other decor to the top of the fudge

STEP 6: Seal and chill.
Press plastic wrap down to cover the entire surface area of the fudge. Wrap the pan entirely plastic wrap or add a snap on lid to keep it sealed.
Chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
STEP 7: Slice and enjoy!
The easiest way to slice fudge is with clean, sharp knife. Run it under water between each slice, dry it off, and cut another slice.

FAQ's:
A Cadbury Creme Egg is a chocolate egg shaped treat filled with a creamy fondant filing that resembles an egg. The filling is made up of sugar, milk, glucose, and syrup. (It's not actually a custard, as many people believe!)
Certainly! To prepare this easy chocolate fudge recipe on the stove, heat a small amount of water in a medium pot (about 1 inch). Place a tempered glass bowl over the top of the pot (it's best if the bowl can fit into the pot and sit on top of it). Place the chocolate and Cadbury eggs into the glass bowl and slowly heat the chocolate until it is melted completely, continuously stirring. Then, continue with the recipe as written.
In this recipe, no. Evaporated milk will not yield a thick enough mixture of chocolate for your fudge to harden appropriately. I do not recommend substituting evaporated milk for condensed milk in this fudge recipe.
Of course! Substitute with chocolate caramels, white chocolate, or even another cream type chocolate! This recipe is easy to customize with whatever candy additives you desire!
