If you've been here long, you know I love a fun twist on a classic recipe! This Cuban style pizza recipe is just that! Juice mojo cuban pork, diced ham, and creamy Swiss come together as an ode to the classic Cubano sandwich. If you're looking for a creative recipe for your next family pizza night, you've found it!
Ingredients and Substitutions:
- Pizza Crust: To keep this recipe quick and simple, I used Naan bread! The naan pizza crust was so crisp underneath all the pizza toppings and made prep super quick!
- Meats: You've got to have both pork and ham on a cubano! I used this mojo marinated pork leftovers from our dinner, along with some diced honey ham.
- Cheese: Swiss cheese is classic for a Cubano sandwich. If you're not much for Swiss, try Manchego cheese!
- Mustard and Cream: The sauce on this pizza will make you scratch your head, but just trust me on this! Yellow mustard and heavy cream!
- Pickles: You can't have a Cubano without the pickles!

Steps to Prepare:
STEP 1: Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 400°. If you have a pizza stone, preheat it with the stone inside.
STEP 1: Prepare the sauce.
Combine ¼ cup of yellow mustard with 2 tablespoon of heavy cream, mix and set aside.
STEP 2: Prepare the pizza toppings
Chop up all of the mojo pork, ham, pickles in prep for building.
STEP 3: Build the pizza
Spread the mustard sauce onto the naan bread, top with a thin layer of shredded Swiss cheese, a sprinkle of the pork, diced ham, and chopped pickles.
STEP 4: Bake

Bake the pizza for 10 - 12 minutes, or until the crust is crisp on the edges and the cheese is melted and enjoy!

FAQ'S:
If there are any leftovers, store them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 days.
Reheat in oven, at 375° for 5 - 10 minutes or until heated through.
I suggest making these easy Cuban Pork Chops and then just chopping those up for your pizza toppings! Simple and delicious!
